Project Tools

Use the Project Tools to sketch out your project on the Idea Page using a variety of shapes and lines, just as you would on a whiteboard (and you can also add documents and sticky notes). To open the Project Tools, click on the Project Tools button on the Tool Bar:

Click on the Project Tools button

The Project Tools is a small, floating toolbar that looks like this:

The Project Tools floats on the screen; you can move it to any convenient spot simply by dragging it and make it go away by clicking on the Project Tools button on the Tool Bar again.

Buttons for adding shapes          Click on one of these buttons to place a rectangle, a rectangle with rounded corners, or an ellipse on your Idea Page. (The Inspector can help you transform these into fancier shapes, like triangles and polygons.)

Button for adding a label          The button marked T lets you place a Label on the Idea Page. A Label is simply a piece of text that you place on the screen; it is similar to an Idea but you cannot expand a Label to a new Idea Page since a Label is flat.

Button for adding a Sticky Note          Next, we have a button for adding a Sticky Note to an Idea Page.

Buttons for adding lines and arrows          There are two buttons for adding arrows and lines to Idea Pages. These can be drawn anywhere on the screen, or they can be used to connect other items (e.g. shapes, documents, etc.) that are on the Page.

Button for adding documents          There is a button for adding documents to Idea Pages.

Button for adding a folder shape          And, finally, we have a button for adding a folder shape to an Idea Page. A folder is a special shape; like Sticky Notes it cannot be transformed into other shapes using the Inspector.

When you start off using Kerika, the default colors and fonts are rather plain, so you may end up with a page that looks like this:

By using the Inspector, however, you can quickly jazz up your creation:
